No Reserve Classics is proud to present to you our 1970 Ford Mustang Mach1 428 Cobra Jet! One of One with only 8,521 original miles. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to own a piece of American History!

Special ordered on 10/13/1969 and completed on 11/05/1969, this Mustang was picked up only 8 days later. The short story is that the original owner drove the mustang for 3 short years and unfortunately passed away. And with his estate needing to be settled, it took many years for this vehicle to find its way to the original owner's brother. From there, he had this Mustang sit in his climate controlled basement until the year 2000. Unfortunately during the period of when the brother had it, the side of the car got scratched when it was rolled out of his basement where it was kept on rollers and not being driven. The car was resprayed in 1979 but it is unclear how much of the car was actually resprayed. The original stripes were masked off during the respray and were kept untouched. It was then purchased from a gentleman where it sat in his private collection on a lift with a car cover since.

The Mustang was in a climate controlled environment for most of its days until it ended up here at our barn.
With a Number- Matching 1970 Mustang, the drivetrain is one to make your mouth water. The 428 Cobra Jet produces a bone chilling 335HP and screams through the 3-Speed Cruise-O-Matic C6 Automatic Transmission. Paired with Power Steering and even Power front disc brakes, it was a highly optioned car. Original paint stamps and chalk markings that were applied at the manufacturing plant still appear today, even the paper tag for the transmission is still visible. All the original tinted glass is in excellent condition. Along with all the factory body stamps. Taking it a step farther in being a 1 of 1 built car, you'll notice the difference between the front and back vinyl. The front has its typical Black Mach-1 vinyl hood kit, but if you move to the rear of this car there was a mistake on the assembly line. The rear was actually placed with a white vinyl stripe instead of the correct black, making it even more rare!

A very nice feature is the original interior. As the door opens you are pleasantly surprised with the smell. It still smells brand new on the inside! Black Clarion and Corinthian vinyl bucket seats greet you as you strap in your seatbelt and stare at the new looking original interior. The radio and passenger clock still function, as well as all the lighting inside and out. Even the rim blow steering wheel still works great! One surprising feature is that the original air conditioning still works! We took this car out on a short drive to check driveability and was super shocked when we turned the air on and it blew cold!

Even though the mileage is low, this is still a survivor car and has barely been driven throughout its life. If purchased the new owner will be given the option to keep it as-is, or have us go through the car to make it a driver. The factory stripes are faded, and the chrome appears in good condition. The underbody of this Mustang is currently untouched and does show a light rust dusting. This Mustang has been driven slightly and will be driven around more as time passes, so mileage will go up.

The temptation would be to keep it parked and leave the “barn dust” layover and just enjoy the view, but to us classics like these are meant to be driven and enjoyed. We are excited to see if the new owner plans to buy it “as-is” or have us make this 1970 Ford Mustang Mach-1, a true 1 of 1 ready for the road again.
